Kaparkan Falls are also known as Mulawin Falls found in sitio Kaparkan, barangay Caganayan, Tineg in Abra Province, Philippines. Abra is a landlocked province of the Philippines in the Cordillera Administrative Region in Luzon. You will take a jeepney from Bangued the capital of the province Abra and ride for 47km going to Kaparkan Falls.
Kaparkan Falls, described as “terraced” waterfalls because it is similar to some of the rice terraces in Mountain Province and its terraces of natural pools of overflowing water that stretched its way down among some trees at the mountainside with a big balete tree at one area. These pools are of different sizes for wading or a little bit of immersing. The falls approximately 500 meters long and 60 meters wide.
It is good to come here during the rainy season because there’s not much to see during the dry season. Take note that getting here is an adventure so it requires a lot of stamina. Nonetheless, you will be rewarded with such an awesome view once you reach Kaparkan Falls, Abra’s Nature Wonderland.
It’s more fun in the Philippines.
