As you probably already know, I love to read. I mean I really do. I read every day and for hours (thank you so much long commute to work!).

I read mostly fiction, although I enjoy biographies and children’s books, and I especially enjoy thrillers. I love psychological thrillers that feature strong women as a protagonist and a twisty and suspenseful plot that takes me by surprise. Some of my favourite authors are Ruth Ware, Riley Sager, Louise Candlish, JP Delaney, and Clare Macintosh, all authors that have new books coming out this summer and I can’t wait to read. I also love C.J. Tudor, B A Paris, Steph Broadribb, and Christi Daugherty, whose novels I always wait impatiently.

Why do I love thrillers? Well, the tension is always high and, even though sometimes I figure out the truth halfway through the novel, there is always some unexpected twist that makes for an addictive read. The characters are always well-developed and complex and the writing is captivating.

Also, I enjoy women’s fiction (my all-time favourite are Sophie Kinsella, Paige Toon, Emily Giffin, Christina Lauren, Sarah Morgan), historical mysteries, Agatha Christie (as you know by my many reviews of her novels), classic literature (Ernest Hemingway, F. S. Fitzgerald, Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, Oscar Wilde), and lately I have developed a love for fantasy novels. I love JK Rowling (I am a huge Harry Potter fan and I reread her novels over and over again), Stephanie Garber (I am addicted to her Caraval series whose last and third book was recently published), Jessica Townsend (I am really looking forward to her third novel in the Wundersmith series), and Sara Holland.
