Pubblicato in Italia con il titolo È troppo facile. In un tranquillo villaggio inglese, una serie di morti potrebbero essere il lavoro di un serial killer e un ex poliziotto ha tutte le intenzioni di scoprirlo.

Though this novel is considered a Superintendent Battle novel, the Scotland Yard detective makes just a brief appearance at the end, when the case is almost solved. Protagonist of the novel is ex-police officer Luke Fitzwilliam who, during a train ride to London, shares the carriage with Lavinia Pinkerton who claims that a serial killer is loose in the quiet English village of Wychwood and that the local doctor will be the next victim. Days later, he finds out that Miss Pinkerton has been killed in a car accident and that the local doctor is, as she claimed, also dead. Unable to let it rest, Luke decides to go undercover in the small village and find out the truth.

Murder Is Easy is quite an intriguing read. Multiple deaths, all seemingly natural or accidents, and yet, something is not quite right. I read it quickly, completely engrossed in the twisty and entertaining story!
