Next day, Sarah Linton arrives at Macon because the husband who was shot is her stepson, her late husband’s son, and no one knows if he is going to make it. Sarah doesn’t know that her elusive boyfriend Will Trent is also in Macon undercover. As they both look for the truth, will their path cross?
Through this novel, we relive Sarah’s past when she was married to another detective, when she was a doctor in a small town, before she moved to Atlanta and she met Will. We see Will going undercover among drug dealers and ruthless murderers and keeping secrets from her girlfriend. Once again, Will’s reluctance to share information causes problems between him and Sara and creating a few tense moments.
Full of twists, suspense, and a few hard-to-read moments, this is the seventh book in the Will Trent series
