This is one of my favorite novels by Agatha Christie. Even though I read it multiple times, it still keeps me on the edge of my seat every time I read it. The setting is very atmospheric and evocative: a private island off the coast of Devon whose owner is a mysterious millionaire. The protagonists are ten people, ten strangers. Each of them has been invited to the island under a pretext. When they arrive, the owner is nowhere to be seen, but, welcoming them, an enigmatic nursery rhyme and ten small figures. At dinner time, each guest dark secret is revealed and then, one after the other, they start to die. Each time one of them dies, one of the figures disappear and, as everyone suspects everyone, you wonder: who will survive?

And Then There Were None is a brilliant and gripping novel. The tension and suspense always high, and you keep wondering who is going to die next, who is the murderer, who is killing these people who were never brought to justice for the crimes they committed. Every time I read it, I discover a new detail, something that I didn’t notice before that makes it more intriguing. It’s a must-read!
