Pubblicato in Italia con il titolo Il Natale di Poirot. Un Natale in famiglia si trasforma in omicidio e Hercule Poirot è pronto ad investigare.
It’s not Christmas without Hercule Poirot and Hercule Poirot’s Christmas is the perfect read to enjoy this Christmas.
Christmas is time for family to reunite and the patriarch of the Lee family has every intention to spend it with all his children. So, he calls them to Gorston Hall, the family home: the two sons who left home more than twenty years ago, the one living in London, but always asking for money, and the granddaughter he never met. Their welcome is not the warmest, but they seem to be civil towards each other, until, one evening, a scream is heard and they find him in a pool of blood. Who could have killed him when the door of his room was locked from the inside? And what happened to the diamonds he kept in the safe? Luckily, a certain famous Belgian detective is nearby and he is ready to help.
This is another of Agatha Christie’s novels where they murderer is the one you never suspected. Set like a game of Cluedo where you must figure out where each character was at the time of the murder, Hercule Poirot’s Christmas is not a festive novel, but it sure is a lot of fun.
