Imagine the scene. A remote house, outside a snow storm, inside six people around a table for a seance. The message? Captain Trevelayn is dead, murdered. And then, of course, he is found murdered. The police arrest his nephew, but his fiancée Emily Trefusis is convinced of his innocence and sets out to prove it with the help of a keen journalist.
This was a fun and intriguing read. Did the spirits announce the murder or was it a practical joke from one of the guests at the party? And with a storm going on, how did the killer reach Captain Trevelayn’s house? For once, my suspicions about the killer were proved right, although I couldn’t guess the motive. A fantastic and quick read that gave me quite a few chills!!!
