This is a collection of twelve short stories all with one protagonist: Lord Peter Wimsey. Published in 1928, there are stories of jealousy, blackmail, theft, and murder. In one story, Lord Peter helps to solve a puzzle to find a will; in another, the search for a bag of jewels leads Peter to a chase across the country and discovering a murder; then, Lord Peter is on a mission for the British government and he goes into an investigation with the help of his young nephew; and, finally, he goes undercover to unmask a secret society of dangerous people.
In all these stories, Lord Peter uses his investigative skills to help people and to get to the truth and kept me completely engrossed from the first to the last story. This collection is a fantastic addiction to the other novels featuring Lord Peter and they kept me quite entertained!
