As a huge Jane Austen fan, this was a fantastic read for me. Featuring real life characters as almost the entire huge Austen family is included, it focuses on the life of Anne Sharp, governess to Fanny Austen, eldest niece of Jane Austen, with whom she regularly corresponded. Some of the facts are invented by the author, while some of the others are real, like the friendship between Anne and Jane or the rivalry between Anne and Jane’s sister Cassandra. This is the perfect read for fans of historical fiction and Jane Austen!
