Non ancora pubblicato in Italia. Un hotel remoto, una tempesta di neve, un gruppo di estranei costretti a coabitare in attesa dei soccorsi. L’ultimo romanzo di Shari Lapena è pieno di colpi di scena…

If you are a fan of Agatha Christie, you are really going to enjoy this novel. An isolated inn, a group of people who don’t know each other, a snow storm that blocks the road and cuts off electricity. What could possibly go wrong? For many of the guests of Mitchell’s Inn, this was supposed to be a relaxing weekend, from two friends who want to escape the noise of the city to a writer in search of inspiration, from a married couple trying to save their marriage to a newly engaged couple completely in love. When the storm hits and they are cut off from the world they don’t think things could get worse. Until one of them is found murdered at the bottom of the stairs. Nobody from outside could have come in so everyone is a suspect and every one of them is hiding a secret.

The author put together a cast of well-crafted characters and she gives you only a glimpse of each of them so you don’t know the full story until the end. The story is unpredictable and twisty and I really didn’t see coming the final shocking revelation. With a claustrophobic and dark atmosphere and a carefully plotted story, this is a must-read not to miss!
