The centerpiece of the exhibit is a replica of a Spanish colonial church in which guests can experience Cebu’s religious history and treasures through QR codes and virtual reality devices.
In line with the celebration of 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines, the Archdiocese of Cebu led a series of exhibits highlighting art, heritage, and the Filipino faith.
Made accessible to the public via pops in SM Malls in the Visayan capital “Mga Hulagway sa Pagtuo” transports the faithful back in time at the North Wing Atrium of SM Cebu. Mounted in partnership with Smart Communications, Inc. and InnoPub Media, a replica of a Spanish colonial church is the exhibit centerpiece, which also makes use of advanced digital tools such as quick response (QRs) codes and virtual reality (VR) devices to allow visitors to experience Cebu’s religious treasures in one setting.
Visitors can download the Panaw sa Pagtuo application iOs and android devices to serve as an exhibit guide and companion.
This project is a product of an inspiring collaborative effort. This offers both enjoyment and in-depth understanding of the artistic patrimony of the Catholic Church aided with digital solutions anchored towards the goal of fortifying faith and evangelization.
