Non ancora pubblicato in Italia. Una fantastica collezione di storie brevi scritte da donne sulle donne.

This is a fantastic collection of short stories written between 1910 and 1950 by female authors with female protagonists. Although the title could be a bit misleading as some of the stories are not exactly “wintery” (something that I have read has disappointed a few readers) I think this is still an excellent collection. One of the stories is from an author whom I adored when I was at university, but I haven’t read in a while, Edith Wharton, while I quite enjoyed being introduced to new authors I never read like Elizabeth Bowen and Angela Carter. My favourite story was My Fellow Travelers by Mary Angela Dickens (Charles Dickens’ eldest grandchild), which I found haunting and gripping. Highly recommended!
