Non ancora pubblicato in Italia. L’entroterra australiano è molto pericoloso, come ben sanno i fratelli Bright, protagonisti del nuovo romanzo di Jane Harper.
We travel to Australia thanks to Jane Harper’s new novel. In The Lost Man, we meet the Bright brothers, Nathan, Cam, and Bub. They live in the Australian outback, such an isolated and claustrophobic place that I found myself surprised that someone actually lives there. It’s hot, it’s dry, and dangerous, and your closest neighbour is a three-hour drive away.
The story begins when Nathan and Bub find the body of their brother Cam who died from hydration. Some think it’s a suicide, some think it was an accident, but Nathan thinks there is something else going on so he starts his own investigation, even if that means suspecting his own family.
I loved Jane Harper’s novels. If you loved The Dry and Force of Nature you are definitely going to love that. Slow-paced, emotional, and riveting, I found myself completely immersed in this suspenseful and superb story. The characters are well-developed, likable and irritating at the same time. The author addresses themes of abuse, forgiveness, and relationship and keeps the reader glued to the pages thanks to her excellent writing.
