This is the book everyone is talking about (at least on my Twitter feed). The Chain is the new novel by Adrian McKinty who created a suspenseful plot with twists that most of the time I didn’t see it coming.
What would you do to get your daughter back? Would you kidnap someone’s else child? That’s what Rachel does because she is now part of the chain and the only way to have her daughter Kylie back is to kidnap another child and hope that their parents would do the same because you don’t break the chain. However, Kylie is not quietly waiting for her mother to rescue and she is trying to find a way to get out of her prison.
This was a rollercoaster of a read. Multi-layered characters, an addictive story, a claustrophobic atmosphere, and a brilliant and flowing writing style that kept me glued to the pages.
