Death Comes As the End is my last novel in my two-year long reading of Agatha Christie’s novels and it’s the only one not set in the twentieth century. The story is set in Ancient Egypt, in Thebes in 2000 BC, so it can also be also considered a historical novel, and it revolves around the arrival of a young and beautiful concubine in a family which brings only darkness and death.
The big cast of characters sometimes left me confused, but I enjoyed the mystery and the tension and the death count is high! A good and unique read that leaves you wondering until the end.
