Pubblicato in Italia con il titolo Assassinio sul Nilo. Una ricca ereditiera viene uccisa durante la sua luna di miele sul Nilo. Fortunatamente il grande detective Hercule Poirot è sul luogo per trovare il killer.
Linnet Ridgeway is an heiress: she is rich and beautiful and she always gets what she wants. When she meets Simon Doyle she knows that she wants to marry him. However, during their honeymoon in Egypt, Linnet is found dead, shot in the head in her bed. The famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot is on the same boat and accept to investigate the murder. Who couldn’t have wanted her dead? Simon’s former fiancée who followed them to Egypt? Linnet’s lawyer who seems to be hiding something? Or another of the many passengers on the boat?

Death on the Nile is one of my favourite novels by Agatha Christie. Like in Murder on the Orient Express, no one got on or off the boat, so the killer is still there. However, it’s not easy to find out who it is as the obvious suspects seem to have solid alibis, while the others don’t seem to have a motive for the murder. A brilliant whodunnit that I couldn’t put it down.
Also, if you enjoyed the book, the movie adaptation by Kennet Branagh is out. I haven’t had the chance to see it yet, but I am really looking forward to doing it soon!
