Pubblicato in Italia con il titolo Parker Pyne indaga. Una raccolta di racconti che vede come protagonista il detective Parker Pyne che promette di aiutare i suoi clienti a trovare quello che cercano…

“Are you happy? If not consult Mr. Parker Pyne” – It’s thanks to this ad in the newspaper that people looking for happiness, even the smallest one, go and knock on Parker Pyne’s door, or, in some cases, interrupt his holidays. Having worked for a government office for thirty-five years, compiling statistics, and now retired, he feels that his experience and knowledge of human nature can help him find ways to make other people happy. And so, in a series of short stories, some of which I had already read, but I was happy to enjoy again, we see spouses trying to get their other halves jealous, men in search of a little adventure and a thrill, and mysteries to solve. Things did not always turn out for the best, but he did his job. Parker Pyne is probably the most unconventional of Agatha Christie’s detectives and this collection of short stories kept me glued to the pages!
