This year, Christmas is going to be different from usual. We will have to stay inside and safe, but we can still enjoy our time reading and here are a few books that I like to enjoy during the Christmas period.
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is a classic of literature. It’s the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who after being visited by the ghost of the past, of the present, and of the future becomes a better and nicer man.
I also enjoy spending the Christmas period with the Bennet family and reread one of my favourite novels, Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen.
During the Christmas holidays I like to revisit the world of Harry Potter and reread, for probably the thousandth time, this fantastic series by JK Rowling
If I am looking for a story with a bit of suspense and crime, I turn to Agatha Christie and her brilliant detective Hercule Poirot, Hercule Poirot’s Christmas.
And, if I am in the mood, for a funny and entertaining novel, than there is nothing better than Sophie Kinsella and her latest novel in the Shopaholic series, Christmas Shopaholic.
And you, what are you reading this Christmas?
