What is Jenna Gray hiding? She took a few things and left her house and her art behind. She boarded the first bus she found which brought her in a small town in Galles. She wishes to be left alone to deal with her demons and a past that make her wake up screaming every night. But some of the locals have other ideas and as she is making new friends, her past finally catches up with her. But what did she do that she had to run away?
An amazing debut for an author that went on two other successful and suspenseful books. You wouldn’t say that I Let You Go is Clare Mackintosh’s debut because her writing is clear and flawless. The novel is slow-paced but full of twists which keep coming until the final last page. I was completely absorbed in this story and I was really happy with the ending. A story about secrets, obsessions, and dysfunctional relationships, you won’t regret starting reading this author, because, trust me, you’ll love her.
