I am addicted to A League of Extraordinary Women series and I love all the books in the series, but if I had to pick a favourite I think I would choose Portrait of A Scotsman, at least for now (the fourth book still hasn’t been published). I liked this more because I really loved the two protagonists and their story (I love the enemies-to-lovers trope). Hattie Greenfield wants to get married to a man who makes her feel special and loved, but suddenly she finds herself in an arranged marriage with Lucien Blackstone, the dark and handsome financier who everyone fears. But, is he really the ruthless and cold man everyone claims? She has the chance to find out when they travel to Scotland for Lucien’s business, and they find themselves together in close quarters.
I really liked these two characters because they are completely different and yet they fit so well together. They story is fun, sexy, witty, completely addictive… I can’t wait for book number 4!
