Non ancora pubblicato in Italia. Un uomo ucciso, una testimone piena di segreti, e una squadra di polizia in cerca della verità nel nuovo coinvolgente romanzo di Gytha Lodge.
Jonah Sheen is one of my favourite fictional British DCI. Born from the pen of Gytha Lodge, this is now on the third book in the series.
In Lie Beside Me, a woman wakes up and finds a man, who is not her husband, lying beside her. She has no idea who he is, but, most importantly, he is covered in blood, and he is dead. Also, she lies to the police, and she pretends that she found him outside of her house, on her garden. DCI Sheen and his team investigate, trying to figure out who the killer is among a long list of suspects and many secrets.
This is a twisty and intriguing story. You don’t know which character to trust, even Louise who lays herself bare in a letter to her husband is unreliable. And, even though I was completely engrossed in the mystery of the murder, I found the detectives’ personal lives equally entertaining. I can’t wait for the next book!
