As a bookworm, the problem that sometimes I face is in which format to read a book. There is the physical edition, that could be hardcover or paperback, the electronic edition that can be read on your phone, tablet, computer, or kindle, or the audio edition in which someone narrates the story.

Personally, I prefer to read the physical edition. I love to hold a book in my hands and turn the pages. I slightly prefer the hardback to the paperback, mostly because they are more elegant, but, especially if the book is long, it can be cumbersome to carry if you are travelling.

Although I was first resistant to the ebooks, now I would never give up on my kindle. It is full of books and it takes little space into my bag. I freak out when it seems that it’s not working and I love buying covers for it. If I have to choose between buying the physical and electronic edition I usually choose the physical, especially if the difference of price is little and if it is a fantasy novel. For the thriller and women’s fiction it is half and half.

I am not a huge fan of the audiobook. I tried a couple of times, but I didn’t really enjoy it. Mostly because what I love reading is the reading itself, so if someone else is narrating the story, I am not actually reading it.

And you, what do you prefer? Physical, ebook, or audiobook?
