In the present time, one of these women is found inside a demolished orphanage by GBI agent Will Trent and she is her boss Amanda Wagner. As the truth comes to light, Will will have to face the biggest demon from his past.
In this novel, Karin Slaughter takes the reader into Will’s past before his birth. We find out more about his parents, his birth, and the weird and, at times, unhealthy relationship with his boss Amanda. I love the character of Will Trent and I am always happy to discover more about this character. He has a dark past that now comes to light and makes me like him even more. I am sure there will be more surprises along the way, but this novel is really central to Will’s character and it’s full of twists that will make you gasp in surprise.
