Pubblicato in Italia con il titolo Abisso senza fine. L’agente del GBI Will Trent si trova a fare squadra con il suo capo Amanda per trovare un ex agente rapito. Riusciranno a trovarla prima che sia troppo tardi?

A few weeks ago, I read that Karin Slaughter’s next novel, coming out in summer 2020, will be another Will Trent novel and I got so excited because I really love this series and I decided to reread the last novels in the series, starting from Fallen. In this novel, Will Trent, agent of the GBI, has to help his partner, Faith, find her mother, Evelyn Mitchell, after she’s been kidnapped from her own house. As secrets from the past risk to come to light and ruin the reputation of more than one agent, Will will also have to deal with the shadow of his wicked wife Angie and his feelings for Dr. Sara Linton.

I loved this novel because we see Will Trent pair up with his boss Amanda Wagner (who is also Evelyn’s best friend) to find Evelyn before it’s too late. These two have a weird relationship: boss-employee, mother-son, love-hate… it was really fun to read and Amanda is my favourite character in the series, so smart, witty, and determined. As always there is suspense and intrigue that keep you glued to the pages and keep you up late at night to finish reading.
