Non ancora pubblicato in Italia. Una fantastica e inquietante storia di mistero e fantasmi che vede come protagonisti una babysitter e una bambina scomparsa.

Dee is a nanny and she is being questioned by the police. Why? Because Felicity, the eight-year-old girl she looks after has disappeared. Thanks to her police interview, we are taken back a few months when Dee meets Nick Law, the new College Master, and she is offered a job as a nanny. Through Dee’s eyes we meet Nick, an ambitious and controlling professor; his new pregnant wife Mariah, obsessed with wallpaper (apparently it’s a thing); his daughter Felicity who suffers from selective mutism. Also we find out more about Dee, with a mysterious past and an obsession with mathematics. Eight months after the first meeting, Felicity is gone and Dee and Nick are turning on each other. What happened?

This is a story of dysfunctional family, mystery, and ghost stories. With a dark and gothic atmosphere, a suspenseful plot, and complex characters, this is a brilliant read that will keep you glued to the pages. I couldn’t put it down because I needed to know how it was going to end, and what an ending… simply brilliant!!!
