Non ancora pubblicato in Italia. Un hotel sulle Alpi francesi rimane isolato durante una tempesta di neve intrappolando gli ospiti e un killer pronto a tutto per mantenere i suoi segreti.
The Queen of Crime returned with her fifth novel set in the French Alps. Snow, a remote resort, and a storm that cuts the characters off from the rest of the world. What more would you want?
If you read my reviews of the author’s previous novels you know how much I love this author and every year she writes an amazing new novel. In One By One, a group of people gathers for a corporate retreat. The fun and the skiing is interrupted when, as the title say, one by one, each member of the group starts to die. There is a killer on the loose, a killer ready to do anything to protect their secrets.
Told from two different points of views, you quickly discover that each character has one or more secret, so who can you trust? Which character is telling the truth? Who is the killer?
I found myself racing through the story because I needed to know who the killer was. If you are looking for an Agatha Christie-inspired novel with a chilling atmosphere, unpredictable characters, and twists that you won’t see coming, then I highly recommend that you pick up One By One.
