Pubblicato in Italia con il titolo Per morte innaturale. Tutti pensano che la vecchia signora sia morta di morte naturale. Allora perché Lord Peter Wimsey è convinto che si tratti di omicidio?
In the third book in the Lord Peter Wimsey series, Peter is having dinner with his friend, Chief Inspector Charles Parker, when they meet a man in a nearby table who tells them the story of the death of an old woman with cancer considered by all natural, but Peter is convinced that there is more to it and, intrigued, he decides to investigate.
Despite everything pointing to a natural death, Peter, helped by Inspector Parker and a cast of interesting characters, is determined to prove that the woman was murdered, especially when her former maid is also found dead.
The mystery was intriguing and full of surprises, but what I really liked about this novel was the friendship between Lord Peter Wimsey and Chief Inspector Charles Parker. Despite the different status in rank, they are close friends and I enjoyed reading their witty exchanges and barbs.
