Molto conosciuto nelle Filippine, siamo a 400 chilometri da Manila. E’ il parco zoologico di Vigan, che merita certamente una visita (l’ingresso è gratuito). L’ideale per passare una giornata in famiglia, alla scoperta degli animali e della natura.  

Baluarte Zoo is a zoological park in Vigan, Ilocos Sur Philippines. It is privately owned by Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson.

Baluarte Zoo is unlike other zoos because it is a wildlife sanctuary dedicated to facilitating education, conservation and protection of endangered species.

 

 

 

Baluarte Zoo is about 400 km from Manila and ten minutes’ drive from Vigan City. Don’t expect any extravagant shows or pen areas for the animals. A lot of animals actually roam free within the walk areas as the guests. It is not a big budget type of zoo and it is opened every day to the public for FREE.  Animals that you can see it the zoo are; Tigers, Monkeys, Camels, Deer, Pythons, Iguanas, Birds like: Ostriches, Parrots, Peacocks, Eagles and Butterfly Garden and a lot more.

You can bring the whole family, to have a picnic lunch, and your kids learn more about indigenous animals in the Philippines as well as around the world.
