Once I was asked to choose three books to take with me on a desert island. That was a really tough question and I don’t remember which books I chose at the time, but today I am going to tell you the ten books I would take on a desert island (three is not enough).
My two all-time favourite books:
1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
2. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Of course, I am bringing one Harry Potter book (unless I can count the whole series as one):
3. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling
My favourite 2019 book:
4. Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
A couple of crime novels because I need something chilling and twisty
5. The Last Widow by Karin Slaughter
6. When You See Me by Lisa Gardener
A couple of women’s fiction novels:
7. The Last Piece of My Heart by Paige Toon
8. Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
And finally a couple of biographies:
9. Editor of Genius by A. Scott Berg
10. Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln by Doris Kearns Goodwin
And you, which books would you take on a desert island?
