This is quite a small book of very short stories full of wit and humor written by a very young Jane Austen, written to entertain her family. They feature drinking and gambling, forgotten babies, women breaking out of prison, theft and murder. They are full of spelling mistakes and completely different from the author’s mature writings that made her famous, but they are fun and entertaining and quite a quick read (only 50 pages), perfect for all Jane Austen fans!
