Sophie Kinsella is my all-time favourite author. I have all of her novels and I buy her latest one as soon as it comes out. She is one of these authors that never disappoints my expectations. She makes me laugh, she makes me fall in love with her characters, and her stories are always entertaining. I love her Becky Bloomwood series (the latest one, Christmas Shopaholic, was absolutely amazing), but I also enjoy her stand-alone novels. The latest one is Love Your Life, partly set to Italy where the protagonist, Ava, goes to a writer retreat. Here is she meets a man. She doesn’t know his real name or anything about his life, but it is love at first sight and, for a week, they have a beautiful love story. Back at home, reality strikes and they soon find out that they don’t have much in common. Will their romance survive?
Love Your Life is a story of romance, yes, but also of friendship. I loved Ava’s relationship with her three best friends. It is fun, honest, and close: “They are part of the deal.”
Love Your Life is enjoyable and addictive and I can’t help but mention the mouth-watering food and my favourite character, Harold the dog, with his adorable dislikes. LOVED IT!
