The setting is Chimney, the country house already protagonist of the The Secret of the Chimneys, and, at the centre of the mystery, we meet again Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, Superintendent Battle, Bill Eversleigh, and George Lomax, investigating the murders of two young men connected to a list of names, a mysterious letter, and the phrase “Seven Dials”.
The Seven Dials Mystery was a fantastic read. A mystery full of intrigue, suspense, and twists that kept me immersed from start to finish. There are secret plans, a practical joke turned into murder, a beautiful foreign adventuress, house parties, marvellous cars, a secret society whose members are masked, and international plotting. Highly recommended!
