Pubblicati in Italia solo i primi libri di questa serie che vede come protagonista un’archeologa che aiuta la polizia a risolvere intriganti misteri.
One of my favourite authors is Elly Griffiths, author of the Brighton Mysteries series, the Harbinder Kaur series, A Girl Called Justice series, and her latest one, the Ali Dawson series, but my favourite is the Ruth Galloway series.
Set in Norfolk, the series follows archeologist Ruth Galloway who, when she is not teaching at university, helps the police solve murders involving bones remains.
Her partner, in these occasions, is Detective Chief Inspector Harry Nelson and they are also helped by police officer Judy Johnson and Cathbad, a modern day druid. The series is made of 15 books and a few short stories and I love the complex mysteries, the suspense, the folklore, and the setting of Norfolk. The characters are well-developed and if the murders are not enough to keep you glued to the pages, the complicated personal relationship between Ruth and Nelson will keep you quite entertained from the first to the last book!
