Pubblicato in Italia con il titolo Sophy La grande. Sophy arriva a Londra per togliere i suoi cugini dai loro intrighi. Ci riuscirà?
The Grand Sophy is now my second favourite novel by Georgette Heyer. I enjoyed it so much, it was fun, entertaining, and full of family drama.

After many years living in Europe, the young Sophia Stanton-Lacy returns to London to stay with her relatives, the Rivenhalls, upsetting their normal and quite dull everyday life. Her stern cousin Charles is set to marry a conventional and annoying woman, much to the displeasure of the entire family; her other cousin Hubert is hiding something, while her cousin Cecilia is trying to get out of a betrothal with a suitable man for a poet with not a penny in his pocket. Sophy’s arrival brings confusion, but also sparks to the family as she tries to fix all their problems.

I loved this novel from start to finish. Sophy is a force to be reckoned with. Her cousin Charles tells her: “I find it a marvellous circumstance, cousin, that no one has yet strangled you!”. When she puts her mind on something, there is no stopping Sophy and I love the lengths she goes to help her cousins. Her witty exchanges with Charles were my favourite part and I loved how the story developed. Highly recommended!
